A Word from our founder
Hello and welcome, my name is Cody McElravy and I started Kracken Media to share the experience I have in video production and wedding videography with the world. I have always had an interest in story telling and throughout my career I've translated that into not only capturing a good story, but recreating it through video.
I graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania with a degree in Communications. From there I spent time working both in broadcast news, video editing and doing freelance video production. Some of my more memorable time was spent at WQLN Public Media as a Producer Director in their television studio. At WQLN I had the good fortune of producing live television fundraisers, documentaries, and a seasonal cooking program. I look back at my time in public broadcasting and am thankful for the wide variety of skills and knowledge I gained.
When not focusing on wedding videography you can find me buried in a good game! Boardgames, Video games, and the one worth mentioning on its own- Magic the Gathering (that I use to play competitively). I also enjoy mountain biking, camping, and wood working when I'm wanting to spend outside. I thank you for taking time to explore.
